Toshima City Tokiwaso Manga Museum

The legendary apartment "Tokiwaso" was once lived in by masters of the manga world, including Osamu Tezuka and Fujio Akatsuka. Tokiwaso was dismantled in 1982, but it was faithfully reproduced in Minaminagasaki Hanasaki Park near the site as a facility to convey manga culture. Inside the museum, you can see special exhibits related to manga, and exhibits where you can experience the atmosphere of Tokiwaso at that time.

Sightseeing Spot in This Area

There is a facility related to Tokiwaso near the Tokiwaso Manga Museum, the "Tokiwaso Manga Station", where you can freely peruse valuable works of manga artists who lived in Tokiwaso and about 6000 related books. There is also the "Tokiwaso-Dori Oyasumidokoro" that sells goods related to Tokiwaso, and in the area, there are monuments of manga works, so you can enjoy visiting places related to Tokiwaso.
