Night is Short, Walk On Girl
Senpai, who has a crush on his junior schoolmate, "The Girl with Black Hair", creates different opportunities to run into her to attract her attention in a plan he calls "Operation Nakame". Senpai and The Girl get involved in a whirlwind of fantastical adventures and unimaginable incidents as they travel all over Kyoto, during which they gradually become closer to each other. This story is based on the novel by Morimi Tomihiko, known for novels that are set in Kyoto, such as The Eccentric Family and The Tatami Galaxy.

Sightseeing Spot in This Area
To experience the nightlife of Kyoto and go drinking and walking like the ladies in the anime, the Pontocho district -- with its grown-up world of red lanterns and izakayas -- is the place to go. One can have a great time drinking as the ladies in the anime do in the area between Pontocho and Kiyamachi. Every mid-August, at the Tadasu Forest in Shimogamo Shrine, there is the Shimogamo Antique Book Fair (please confirm actual dates beforehand). It is at this event where The Girl with Black Hair meets the God of the Old Books Market, so please check it out if the chance comes along. In the spring and fall, there are also other second-hand book fairs.
