Katana Maidens ~ Toji No Miko

Ever since antiquity, supernatural monsters called “Aradama” have been a serious threat to humans. To combat this, there have been girls called “toji,” who chase them away with “Okatana” or divine swords. Chosen graduates of the toji training schools, located in five places in Japan, get together at the Origami Family, located in Kamakura, Kanagawa, to compete in a national contest of the art of fencing. One of the contestants was Kanami Eto from the Minoseki Gakuin school, located in Gifu. She defeated many tough fighters from the whole nation and made it to the final match to face Hiyori Jujo, who, unexpectedly, assaulted Yukari Origami, the head of the Origami Family, when the match began. Thus Hiyori was charged with treason. Taken by surprise, Kanami helped Hiyori run away. Behind the Origami Family was a conspiracy of “Grand Aradama”, and the toji girls tried to defeat it. What destiny was awaiting them ---?

Sightseeing Spot in This Area

Fujisawa has countless tourist spots, and one of the must-see places is "Enoshima Shrine," which appears in this anime story and has a lot to do with "Katana Maidens." This shrine consists of three sub-shrines -- the "Hetsumiya" shrine houses Takitsuhime-no-mikoto, "Nakatsumiya" houses Ichikishimahime-no-mikoto, and "Okutsumiya" houses Tagirihime-no-mikoto. Listed among Japan's greatest three Sarasvati shrines, the shrine is now believed to bring you some good luck in romance.
