Tokyo Anime Center in DNP PLAZA

The Association of Japanese Animations (AJA) and Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) have been jointly running this facility since October 28th, 2017, on the 1st basement of DNP PLAZA, Ichigaya, Shinjuku-ku, downtown Tokyo. The “planned exhibition area” displays hot anime works and other culturally valuable works every month, taking advantage of DNP’s own expressive technologies.
The “anime goods corner” carries items related to the special exhibition, the Center’s original items, and other animation-related items.
In addition, the Center hosts talks by anime directors, voice actors, etc., workshops instructed by creators, seminars, and other events.
This Center disseminates information on Japan’s anime culture inside and outside Japan, and is visited and appreciated by countless anime enthusiasts from Japan and other countries.

Sightseeing Spot in This Area

Shinjuku City, Tokyo, is where the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office stands and known as the center of the metropolis. Once many historic literary figures lived in the Ward, which today still retains monuments of them. It is a highly cultured district. Natsume Soseki Memorial Museum stands where the great novelist was born and grew up -- Shinjuku. He spent nine years before his death right here at the site of the museum. It features exhibits like a replica of the novelist's  study, "Soseki Sanbo,"  and many other literature related to him. Soseki is a figure representing the literature of modern Japan.
