Released in 2007, Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition has character designs that capture the age, and a mysterious and deep storyline that is captivating yet accessible enough to cater to a wider audience, with younger viewers as its focus. With a new and stylish take on imagery and cinematography, the series leaves an impression on not only regular viewers, but also creators both in Japan and abroad.
