Sightseeing Spot in This Area

Located on Tama Hills, the city of Tama in Tokyo is attractive for its magnificent street views composed of green trees and slopes. Watching the beautiful passing scenery through the window of the Tama Toshi Monorail is certainly worthwhile. The Tama combined cultural complex, Parthenon Tama (as pictured), and Tsurumakinishi Park are places best known for viewing the “Diamond Fuji” in the fall and winter, a spectacular scene in which the setting sun aligns with the peak of Mount Fuji. Other places to visit include Sakuragaoka Park, where you can admire the cherry blossoms, and former Tama Seiseki Memorial Hall, which features a valuable exhibit collection related to the Tama region.
