TAMAYURA

This anime is a warm and genuine story depicting the everyday life of a group of high school girls -- of their friendship and their worries about their dreams and future. To attend high school, Sawatari Fu moves to Takehara, where she reunites with her childhood friend Hanawa Kaoru, and makes friends with Okazaki Norie and Sakurada Maon; together, they begin their high school life. With a love of taking photos with the camera of her deceased father, Fu captures every moment of happiness in her daily life with her friends.

Sightseeing Spot in This Area

The city of Takehara, Hiroshima Prefecture, is widely known for its "Takehara Preservation Area (Preservation District of Important Historical Buildings)" (as pictured). In this area with an ancient flavor, traces of the late Edo period are everywhere -- historic temples and shrines, old houses that seem to belong in a Japanese historical drama, all bring you back in time as you stroll through. Hinomaru Photography Studio is a must-see destination, as it is the building on which the studio frequently visited by Fu and her friends is based. A city on the coast of the Seto Inland Sea, Takehara itself is attractive, with various perfect locations for a panoramic view overlooking the sea.
