Sightseeing Spot in This Area

With storehouses built as early as Edo period and historic buildings dating back to Meiji and Taisho periods, the city of Tochigi takes you back to the old days of Japan. “Kura no machi”, or Storehouse Town, is the most famous attraction of the city. Flowing through the city center is Uzuma River, which once played an important role in the development of shipping, its waters now carry sightseeing boats instead. Take a boat ride and enjoy the nostalgic town view along both sides of the river that vary as the seasons and routes change. You will never tire of the scenery no matter how many times you visit.
