Fleet Girls Collection ”KanColle”

In this naval fleet-building simulation game, players step into the role of admiral, training and developing a formidable fleet comprised of kanmusu fleet girls — moe anthropomorphisms of real-life destroyers, light cruisers, heavy cruisers, battleships, and other warships. The game’s servers are named after actual Japanese naval bases such as Mutsu in Aomori Prefecture, Yokosuka in Kanagawa Prefecture, Maizuru in Kyoto Prefecture, Kure in Hiroshima Prefecture, and Sasebo in Nagasaki Prefecture, locations that have become pilgrimage sites for fans of the title.

Sightseeing Spot in This Area

Kure City is the birthplace of the legendary battleship Yamato, and is known for being the home of the Kure Maritime Museum (also known as the Yamato Museum). Towering in front of the Kure JR Station as you arrive is Mount Haigamine, famous for having one of the top three night views of the Chugoku and Shikoku regions. Boasting an altitude more than twice that of Hokkaido’s Mount Hakodate, visitors can enjoy romantic views of the streets of Kure and the twinkling lights of ships in its harbor from the mountain’s 737-meter high peak.
