Shinsengumi members acquired supernatural power after drinking a secret potion named “Water of Life” (Ochimizu). This story begins with a young girl named Chizuru, who encountered the Shinsengumi when she was searching for her missing father, who invented the secret potion. Her destiny then changed completely. This is a well-known girl’s romance adventure game published by Otomate. Aizu is a very meaningful place for Hajime Saito as he decided to follow his own will and chose not to stay with Toshizou Hijikata and other Shinsengumi members.

Sightseeing Spot in This Area

There are numerous historical sites available in Aizuwakamatsu. As the leading sightseeing spot, Tsurugajo Park is home to Aizuwakamatsu Castle (as pictured), also known as Tsuruga Castle. There are four bicycle rental service points in the city (only available from April to November). Traveling around by bicycle, you can experience the unique charisma of the complex alleys inside the castle town. In addition, at only 10 minutes by car away from the center of Aizuwakamatsu, there is the Higashiyama Hot Spring, a favorite of the Vice-Commander of Shinsengumi, Toshizou Hijikata. The hot spring street there with period scenery is worth a visit too.
