Set in Sainotama Girls’ High School, a school full of slightly disappointing girls, the story revolves around Tanaka (a.k.a. Baka), a total idiot, Kikuchi (a.k.a. Otaku), a fan who loves anime and manga, and Saginomiya (a.k.a. Robo), an expressionless, robot-like girl. The curtain rises on a very funny JK school comedy in which the sparkling youth of high school girls is wasted in vain!

“Higashimurayama City” is situated in the middle of the Musashino Plateau. The city has become popular as an urban commuter area, and it has vibrant local shopping streets. On the other hand, there are the Sayama Hills to the north-west, and it also has a rich natural environment including rural landscapes. Of particular interest is Kitayama Park, backed by the Sayama Hills, which was selected as one of the 100 Views of New Tokyo for its beautiful seasonal scenery. In early summer, you can see 100,000 hanashobu (Japanese iris) with 8,000 plants of about 600 varieties, and in autumn, the flowering of manjushage (red spider lily).
