ZatsuTabi : That’s Journey

Chika Suzugamori is a university student and aspiring manga artist who has recently won a newcomer manga award. She visits an editorial team of a publisher to present her three storyboards, but all of them are rejected. She returns home in a disheartened mood. Later, when she is feeling stuck in her room, she gets a sudden urge to go on a journey.
Just then, she sees a travel show on the television, in which guests are rolling a die to decide where to visit. She posts a social media poll to ask where she should go on a journey. The poll posted by her with little thought is given surprisingly lots of responses, and she realizes that there is no turning back. Following the poll result, “Up from Tokyo,” she decides her destination and sets off on her unplanned, unprepared journey…

Sightseeing Spot in This Area

Shimane is famous for a long history and culture since ancient times, its rich nature, and “goen”- profound, invisible connections or "fate" that bind people together. It offers a variety of attractive tourist spots, and particularly at about 60 hot springs in the prefecture and through local dishes, people can enjoy the practise of “bihada,” making their skin healthier.
Matsue Castle (see the picture) appearing in the anime is one of the 12 remaining original castle towers in Japan, and designated as a national treasure. From the lookout on the top floor, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view from the city of Matsue to Lake Shinji.
